The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Wednesday recorded a chargesheet against Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar in the Unnao assault case.
Sengar has been charged under area 120B, 363,366,376(1), 506 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Sections of Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses Act (POSCO) Act.
Sengar, a BJP MLA from Bangarmau in Unnao, was captured by the CBI in April.
The high schooler was supposedly assaulted by the BJP MLA at his home in Unnao on June 4, 2017, where she had gone looking for an occupation.
