Indian cricket group on Tuesday made direct capability to the up and coming International Cricket Council (ICC) men’s Twenty20 World Cup 2020 which will be held in Australia.
The affirmation was made by the ICC in the wake of mulling over the men’s T20I group positioning. According to the capability criteria set for the competition, the host country and the other nine best positioned sides have guaranteed coordinate capability.
The main eight make it straight to the Super 12s stage while the staying two will play in the gathering stage alongside six different groups who will endure from the ICC T20 World Cup Qualifier in 2019. Four groups from the gathering stage will progress to the Super 12s.
India, alongside Pakistan, England, Australia, South Africa, New Zealand, West Indies and Afghanistan, will begin their battle specifically in the Super 12s.
Previous heroes and three-time finalists Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, who are holding the ninth and tenth position, individually in the positioning table, should battle with the other six qualifiers in the gathering phase of the competition, which will be held from October 18 to November 15, 2020.
