The C3 hatchback will hit the market on July 20.

The second model of the French carmaker Citroen to hit the Indian roads, the C3 hatchback will hit the market on July 20. Citroën has informed that 90 percent of the C3 is locally manufactured to suit Indian roads. Bookings for the C3 hatchback, which was launched last month, have started at Citroen’s showrooms and official website.

Although the vehicle C3 is new for the Indian roads, the third-generation model of this vehicle is coming to the Indian markets. It is reported that the C3 has already delivered two-generation models in Citroen’s home country of France and other European countries years ago. However, it is reported that this C3 manufactured in India will be shipped to Latin American and ASEAN countries as well.

The C3 is described as a baby version of the C5. C3 is also given a design incorporating the Citron gene. The C3 comes in two petrol engine options, 1.2 naturally aspirated and 1.2 turbocharged. The 1.2 liter naturally aspirated three-cylinder engine produces 82 PS. Power is 115 Nm. Torque is produced. The transmission that comes with this engine is a five-speed manual. The 1.2-liter turbocharged engine produces 110 PS. Power is 190 Nm. torque. The turbo engine is mated to a six-speed manual transmission.
