Free-form wrestlers Sachin Rathi and Deepak Punia won gold awards for India on the finishing up day of the Junior Asian Wrestling Championship 2018.
Rathi won the principal gold for India by beating Bat-Erdene of Mongolia in the 74 kg classification while Punia snatched India’s second by vanquishing Azat Gajyyev of Turkmenistan in the 86 kg class.
Suraj Rajkumar secured a bronze in the 61 Kg class by overcoming Yotu Tsuchiya of Japan by 16-8.
Then again, India’s Mohit packed away bronze in the 125kg classification by beating Bat Erdene Erdenebaatar of Mongolia.
India completed second in the group title with 173 focuses.
Iran stood first with 189 focuses, and Uzbekistan came third with 128 focuses.
