Foreign tourists can now specifically travel to the Andaman and Nicobar Islands as the legislature has assigned Port Blair air terminal as an approved migration register post for section with and exit from India with legitimate travel archives.
The choice came over multi month after the killing of an American national by individuals from an exceptionally ensured clan in one of the islands of the Union domain.
“In compatibility of sub-rule (b) of standard 3 of the Passport (Entry into India) Rules, 1950, the focal government thusly assigns Port Blair air terminal of Union region of Andaman and Nicobar Islands as an approved movement register post for section with/exit from India with legitimate travel archives for all classes of travelers,” a home service warning said.
In another warning, the home service designated the Superintendent of Police, CID, the Andaman and Nicobar Police, as the “common specialist” for the migration check post at Port Blair air terminal with impact from December 31, 2018.
